Our Curriculum

Please see the documents below which outline the curriculum which is taught in each year group. If you require further information about the curriculum, please contact the class teacher who will be able to help.

Reading and Phonics

We use Floppy's Phonics scheme to teach phonics at Armley Park Primary School.

We have recently changed the scheme that we use to help children to learn to read. The books the children bring home to practise will be from the Oxford Reading Tree scheme. Further information about how this scheme works can be found here

You can access a wide range of electronic books online through our subscription. Click on the document below and follow the instructions to log in.

Writers of the Week!

Each week, the teachers choose some writing work that has really impressed them. The children get to share their work in assembly and then it is displayed in the hall for everyone to see.

At school, we teach maths using the White Rose Maths resources. This is a progressive scheme of work, taught from Nursery through to Year 6, and provides the children with a range of different strategies which help to improve their understanding of maths, Further information about White Rose Maths can be found here

If you wish to find out more about the curriculum our school uses you are very welcome to arrange a time to come into school to view what we do or ask any questions.
