Admissions

If you would like your child to attend our school, please contact the school office (01132639216) to check availability in year groups. 

 

Although we are part of the Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust, we follow the Leeds City Council Admissions Policy. Please see the link below for further information.  

Entry to Reception Class

Children start school at the beginning of the September after their fourth birthday. Requests for places in Reception are dealt with by Leeds City admissions department.  The Local Authority will send parents a school preference form their child is eligible to start school. If you have missed the deadline for applications or need to contact the admissions department they can be contacted on 0113 222 4414.

Transferring schools 

 

If you wish to transfer school or applying for a school place please contact the school office directly to enquire about places on 0113 2639216 or email [email protected]  To apply for a place parents must complete an In Year Common Preference Form which can be printed from the website, please see form below or obtained for a child's current school or from our school office. If there is a space available we will advise you of the date your child may start school. If we are unable to offer you a place we will send your form to the admissions team at the Local Authority who will be able to find you an alternative school place. You can also request to keep your child on our school waiting list and will be informed if a place becomes available. 

 

We welcome visits from parents considering applying for a place for their child. If you would like to visit our school, please call us to make an appointment. 

 

Nursery

Children can start at our school Nursery at three years old. Any enquires for places can be made to the school office. Request for places are made via an application form which you can get from the school office. Places for Nursery can be requested at any time and children can do this prior to their child turning three years old. If spaces are available the school will contact you to arrange a start date. If no spaces are available your child will be added to the waiting list and you will be informed if a place becomes available. 

 

Our Nursery provision is flexible and we can offer either 15 hours or 30 hours (if eligible for the funded placements). Please contact the school to discuss your requirements. 

 

At whatever stage your child starts school with us, all our staff and children will ensure they feel welcome and settle in as quickly and happy as possible.
