We hope you enjoy looking at our class page. We will update this regularly throughout the year with photographs of what we have been doing and also with key information which you may find useful. If you have any questions, please contact the class teacher who will be able to help. 

We have been planting beans in Nursery this week. We are looking forward to looking after them and watching them grow.

20th May 2022 - Shreyo is writer of the week for doing some writing at home and bringing it into Nursery to share. Dennison is star of the week for joining in and working hard at group times. Well done boys!

In Nursery we have been learning all about people who help us. We have been dressing up, role playing and much more!

13th May 2022 - Lily is our writer of the week and Miah is star of the week. Well done girls for all your hard work this week!

6th May 2022 - Willow is our writer of the week this week. She drew a great picture of her friends, well done Willow! Sapphire is star of the week for always being amazing, joining in and being a super role model. Well done Sapphire!

29th April 2022 - Ava is our writer of the week. She sat in the writing area and copied all the letters of the alphabet. She also wrote her name, well done!!

22nd April 2022 - Star of the week is Leo and Writer of the week is Elsie! Elsie drew a lovely picture and Leo is working really hard. Well done to the both of you!

1st April 2022 - Carter is our star of the term, he tries so hard, joins in and building his relationships in Nursery. Lily is writer of the week for creating her own story map about a Princess. Well done to you both!

w/c 28th March 2022 - Nursery have been very busy in the final week of the Sping term. We have been creating a story map for the Gruffalo and retelling it using actions, we have done so well! We have been doing lots of mark making, drawing characters from the story and even making our own books! Have a lovely Easter break and we will see you on the 19th April.

18th March 2022 - Matei is star of the week for joining in and trying hard. Gracie-Mae is writer of the week for drawing a lovely picture of her Daddy. Well done you two!

w/c 14th March 2022 - Nursery have been exploring bugs and minibeasts this week. We have areas set up in the classroom to explore as well as visiting Ken's garden for a story and bug hunt. We have also done a bug hint as part of our home learning challenge. As the weather has really warmed up this week, we have made the most of it and have been spending more time outside.

w/c 7th March 2022 - We have chicks! Nursery got to watch the chicks hatch and once they were ready, we spent time holding them. It has been an amazing experience for the children to see a life cycle and changes first hand.

4th March 2022 - Star of the week is Elsie for being a kind friend to others in Nursery, well done Elsie!

World Book Day 2022 - We brought in our favourite books to share with our friends. What is your favourite book?

w/c 28th February 2022 - This week in Nursery, we have had a very eggs-iting delivery of some chick eggs! We have watched them hatch into 10 fluffy little chicks! We get to hold them next week, we cannot wait!

Spring 1 2022 - Knowledge Organiser - Build it!

18th February 2022 - Matei is our star of the week for joining in and Leo is writer of the week for giving meaning to the marks he made when painting. Well done boys!

w/c 14th February 2022 - For Literacy week, Nursery used a large box to create a magical portal to take them to their dreams! We used the book 'You choose your dreams' and we focused on the magical page. What character lives n the magical forest? Do they have a magical power? Who will you see in your dream? We had such a fun time exploring our imagination and what magical powers we would have!

w/c 31st January 2022 - This week we have been busy learning all about positional language. We moved the teddy around the house and began to use and understand different positions. We also celebrated Chinese New Year on 1/2/22. We tasted some rice and prawn crackers, they were yummy!

w/c 24th January 2022 - Nursery have been busy this week making houses for the Three Little Pigs to live in. They have been talking about the different types of materials needed to build them. Take a look at their amazing home learning challenge too, they have created some toilet roll houses at home and brought them into school to share them. Well done Nursery!

21st January 2022 - Carter is our writer of the week. He drew a great picture of a straw house and a stick house from the story, The Three Little Pigs. Cody is our star of the week for settling into 3 full days really well and joining in lots. Well done boys!

w/c 17th January 2022 - This week in Nursery, we have been listening to the story "Not a box" and developing our imagination in using boxes for different reasons. We have been very busy using boxes and turning them into all sorts such as cars, rockets and houses! What would you turn a box into?

14th January 2022 - Writer of the week is Miah, she gave meaning to some marks she made. She told us she drew some animals. Leo is star of the week, he is joining in lots and his confidence has grown. Well done you two!

w/c 10th January 2022 - Nursery have been learning all about the number 1 this week. They watched the Numberblocks episode and then found lots of ways of representing 1 in the environment. They have also been looking at building houses for the Little Pigs.

w/c 3rd January 2022 - A huge welcome back to all of Nursery. We have had such a busy week and crammed lots into 3 days! As part of our Build it topic, we listened to the story "The Three Little Pigs." Next week we will be discussing houses and the materials the pigs used to build them.

Autumn 2 2021 - Knowledge organiser - Let's celebrate!

3rd December 2021 - Shreyo is Nursery's star of the week. He has tried really hard to listen to instructions and join in more at group times. Well done Shreyo!

w/c 29th November 2021 - What a busy week we have had in Nursery! We have made decorations and crispy buns to finally celebrate Kipper's birthday with a party. We played party games, sang happy birthday and ate some cake! Nursery also put their Christmas tree up too! In Maths, we have been exploring more and fewer than.

w/c 22nd November - This week Nursery have been busy exploring more and fewer than in maths. We are doing so well using the vocabulary in our play. We have been talking about birthday cakes too and are excited to be making some bins for Kipper's birthday next week!

w/c 15th November 2021 - Nursery have been busy celebrating Nursery Rhyme Week. Lots of singing and fun activities each day linked to each rhyme. We have also been making our shoulders, arms and hands strong with lots of mark making. On Friday, we celebrated Children in Need and we made our own Pudsey Bear hats.

12/11/21 - Logan is Nursery's star of the week for settling into school so well. He comes into school with such a big smile on his face. Shreyo is our writer of the week for drawing a face, he had control over his pencil and drew clear features on the face. Well done boys!

w/c 8th November 2021 - This week in Nursery we have been reading the story 'Kipper's Birthday'. We have used the story to support our maths learning and well as our mark making skills. We have been designing our own cakes for Kipper and counting candles to add onto a cake. Nursery have also taken their Phonics learning outside and have been listening to how sounds change on different surfaces.

w/c 1st November 2021 - What a busy first week back and we have kick started our topic by learning all about the Festival Diwali. We listened to the story of Rama and Sita. We then made our own salt dough Diva lamps to celebrate Diwali. We also made some coconut Diwali sweets, they were very yummy! In Maths we have been talking about and comparing size. Lots of mark making too to make our shoulders and fingers stronger. To finish the week, we talked about Bonfire Night, why we celebrate it and how. Most importantly, we discussed Bonfire Night Safety.

Autumn 1 2021 - Knowledge Organiser - Who are we?

22nd October 2021 - Nursery's writer of the week is Leo. He drew a lovely picture of his family and spoke confidently about them. Ava is the star of the week for her consistent efforts in creating repeating patterns all the time. Well done to the both of you!

w/c 18th October - What a busy final week of the first half term. We have been learning all about repeating patterns in Nursery and creating them in all different areas of the classroom and outside. Early Years were focusing on the Great Barrier Reef for our Wonders of the World themed week. We found it a map, discussed what makes it wonderful, created our own coral using mod rock and drew all the animals that live there. We also cut up a pumpkin to explore what was inside.

8th October 2021 - Lucas is Nursery's writer of the week. He drew a lovely picture of who lives in his house. Lucas chatted about his Mum and her smiley face. Well done!

1st October 2021 - Star of the week is Miah. She has settled really well into Nursery and has really enjoyed her first full days in school, well done Miah!

W/C 20th September 2021 - This week we have been very busy creating self portraits. We looked carefully in the mirror at the features on our faces and talked about what we look like. We decided on the materials and colours we would use. They look amazing on the wall in the classroom. We also had a little adventure in Ken's Garden and hunted for the 13 creatures he had hidden in there!

24th September 2021 - Nursery's star of the week is Carter. He always has a smile on his face and is enthusiastic towards his learning. Well done Carter!

W/C 13th September 2021 - Another busy week in Nursery. Lots of exploring inside and out, making the most of the sunny weather! The children have also joined in the class challenge to use the natural materials to create a face. Can you make a face using materials around your house?

17th September 2021 - Nursery's star of the week is Enzo for joining in and showing off his amazing dance moves! Ava-Grace is our writer of the week for drawing a self portrait. Well done both of you!

A huge welcome back to our Nursery class! We have also welcomed some new friends too! What a fun day we have had!

W/C 6th September 2021 - Our first week in Nursery - We have had such a busy week getting ourselves back into a routine, making lots of friends and most importantly, having FUN!

10th September 2021 - Nursery's star of the week is Noah. He has settled back into Nursery really well and always has a smile on his face. Well done Noah!
