Spring 1 2022 - Knowledge Organiser - Build it!

14th January 2022 - Writer of the week is Miah, she gave meaning to some marks she made. She told us she drew some animals. Leo is star of the week, he is joining in lots and his confidence has grown. Well done you two!

w/c 10th January 2022 - Nursery have been learning all about the number 1 this week. They watched the Numberblocks episode and then found lots of ways of representing 1 in the environment. They have also been looking at building houses for the Little Pigs.

w/c 3rd January 2022 - A huge welcome back to all of Nursery. We have had such a busy week and crammed lots into 3 days! As part of our Build it topic, we listened to the story "The Three Little Pigs." Next week we will be discussing houses and the materials the pigs used to build them.

Autumn 2 2021 - Knowledge organiser - Let's celebrate!

3rd December 2021 - Shreyo is Nursery's star of the week. He has tried really hard to listen to instructions and join in more at group times. Well done Shreyo!

w/c 29th November 2021 - What a busy week we have had in Nursery! We have made decorations and crispy buns to finally celebrate Kipper's birthday with a party. We played party games, sang happy birthday and ate some cake! Nursery also put their Christmas tree up too! In Maths, we have been exploring more and fewer than.

w/c 22nd November - This week Nursery have been busy exploring more and fewer than in maths. We are doing so well using the vocabulary in our play. We have been talking about birthday cakes too and are excited to be making some bins for Kipper's birthday next week!

w/c 15th November 2021 - Nursery have been busy celebrating Nursery Rhyme Week. Lots of singing and fun activities each day linked to each rhyme. We have also been making our shoulders, arms and hands strong with lots of mark making. On Friday, we celebrated Children in Need and we made our own Pudsey Bear hats.

12/11/21 - Logan is Nursery's star of the week for settling into school so well. He comes into school with such a big smile on his face. Shreyo is our writer of the week for drawing a face, he had control over his pencil and drew clear features on the face. Well done boys!

w/c 8th November 2021 - This week in Nursery we have been reading the story 'Kipper's Birthday'. We have used the story to support our maths learning and well as our mark making skills. We have been designing our own cakes for Kipper and counting candles to add onto a cake. Nursery have also taken their Phonics learning outside and have been listening to how sounds change on different surfaces.

w/c 1st November 2021 - What a busy first week back and we have kick started our topic by learning all about the Festival Diwali. We listened to the story of Rama and Sita. We then made our own salt dough Diva lamps to celebrate Diwali. We also made some coconut Diwali sweets, they were very yummy! In Maths we have been talking about and comparing size. Lots of mark making too to make our shoulders and fingers stronger. To finish the week, we talked about Bonfire Night, why we celebrate it and how. Most importantly, we discussed Bonfire Night Safety.

Autumn 1 2021 - Knowledge Organiser - Who are we?

22nd October 2021 - Nursery's writer of the week is Leo. He drew a lovely picture of his family and spoke confidently about them. Ava is the star of the week for her consistent efforts in creating repeating patterns all the time. Well done to the both of you!

w/c 18th October - What a busy final week of the first half term. We have been learning all about repeating patterns in Nursery and creating them in all different areas of the classroom and outside. Early Years were focusing on the Great Barrier Reef for our Wonders of the World themed week. We found it a map, discussed what makes it wonderful, created our own coral using mod rock and drew all the animals that live there. We also cut up a pumpkin to explore what was inside.

8th October 2021 - Lucas is Nursery's writer of the week. He drew a lovely picture of who lives in his house. Lucas chatted about his Mum and her smiley face. Well done!

1st October 2021 - Star of the week is Miah. She has settled really well into Nursery and has really enjoyed her first full days in school, well done Miah!

W/C 20th September 2021 - This week we have been very busy creating self portraits. We looked carefully in the mirror at the features on our faces and talked about what we look like. We decided on the materials and colours we would use. They look amazing on the wall in the classroom. We also had a little adventure in Ken's Garden and hunted for the 13 creatures he had hidden in there!

24th September 2021 - Nursery's star of the week is Carter. He always has a smile on his face and is enthusiastic towards his learning. Well done Carter!

W/C 13th September 2021 - Another busy week in Nursery. Lots of exploring inside and out, making the most of the sunny weather! The children have also joined in the class challenge to use the natural materials to create a face. Can you make a face using materials around your house?

17th September 2021 - Nursery's star of the week is Enzo for joining in and showing off his amazing dance moves! Ava-Grace is our writer of the week for drawing a self portrait. Well done both of you!

A huge welcome back to our Nursery class! We have also welcomed some new friends too! What a fun day we have had!

W/C 6th September 2021 - Our first week in Nursery - We have had such a busy week getting ourselves back into a routine, making lots of friends and most importantly, having FUN!

10th September 2021 - Nursery's star of the week is Noah. He has settled back into Nursery really well and always has a smile on his face. Well done Noah!
