Week 6 - 14th December 2020 - This week has been filled with lots of fun Christmassy things. We had our Christmas party, Christmas dinner, singing songs, crafts and even a surprise visit from Santa! We're really excited for Christmas, have a fun and safe break!

Jingle Bells!

11th December 2020 - Christmas Jumper Day - Check out our Christmas jumpers we wore to help raise money for Save the Children.

Week 3 - 16th November 2020 - In Nursery this week we have been singing lots of number songs and rhymes and talking about how the amount changes when something is added or taken away. We used 5 frames too to help us with counting objects to 5.

Week 2 - 9th November 2020 - Nursery have been making their own rainbows for Science week! We used skittles and hot water to see how a rainbow is created, we were very excited! Nursery also learnt about Remembrance Day. After watching a video and completing the national 2 minute silence, we made our own Poppies. Each one is unique and they all look amazing on the display in the entrance area of school.

Week 1 - 2nd November 2020 - This week in Nursery we have been using shapes to help us talk about size and shape names. We even made our own circles using pipe cleaners! We are learning that shapes are everywhere and all around us if we look close enough. What shapes can you see near you now?

Week 7 - 19th October 2020. This week has been a focus week to promote children's talking, thinking and reasoning. Early Years had a box delivered and all week we have been discussing whether to open the box or not. Lots of new vocabulary was introduced and the children had some very interesting ideas as to what could be inside. We voted and the majority wanted it opened and good job as it was a present from Christopher Pumpkin! We had some milkshakes, yummy marshmallows and a little Halloween party! Have a great half term, see you all next week!

Week 6 - 12th October 2020. Another busy week in Nursery! Lots of activities to make our hands and fingers strong, singing and using the movement area we even had time to draw some portraits of Miss Jackson!

Week 5 5th October 2020 - Lots of mark making and counting this week for Nursery. Our hands are becoming stronger everyday!

Week 4 - Maths. This week we have been singing lots of number songs and beginning to count objects up to 5.

Week 2 14th September 2020

This week in Early Years we have welcomed some new friends into our school. 4 new children have joined us in Reception and 2 new children have joined our Nursery. They have settled in well and are beginning to enjoy making lots of new experiences.

We have spent a lot of time outside and making the most of the lovely weather. Outside we have been developing our gross motor skills through climbing, digging, dancing, using the bikes and being in the large sand pit.

All children have drawn a person as part of their fine motor initial assessment this week. We redo them every half term and it's a great way to see their progress over the year.

Next week we will be talking about our families, who lives in our house and what we celebrate.

Thank you for all your replies for Tapestry, please see Miss Jackson if you need help setting up your account.
