Children start school at the beginning of the September after their fourth birthday. Requests for places in Reception are dealt with by Leeds City admissions department.  The Local Authority will send parents a school preference form their child is eligible to start school. If you have missed the deadline for applications or need to contact the admissions department they can be contacted on 0113 222 4414.

Transferring schools

If you wish to transfer school or applying for a school place please contact the school office directly to enquire about places on 0113 2639216.  To apply for a place parents must complete an In Year Common Preference Form which can be printed from the website, please see form below or obtained for a child's current school or from our school office. If there is a space available we will advise you of the date your child may start school. If we are unable to offer you a place we will send your form to the admissions team at the Local Authority who will be able to find you an alternative school place. You can also request to keep your child on our school waiting list and will be informed if a place becomes available.

We welcome visits from parents considering applying for a place for their child. If you would like to visit our school, please call us to make an appointment.

Nursery

Children can start at our school Nursery at three years old. Any enquires for places can be made to the school office. Request for places are made via an application form which you can get from the school office. Places for Nursery can be requested at any time and children can do this prior to their child turning three years old. If spaces are available the school will contact you to arrange a start date. If no spaces are available your child will be added to the waiting list and you will be informed if a place becomes available.

We offer a weekly stay and play session for Nursery children, this allows children to come to our Nursery prior to starting with us and get to know us better to make the settling in process easier for them and parents.

Our Nursery is currently part time and currently runs all day Monday, Tuesday and until 11:30am on a Wednesday.

At whatever stage your child starts school with us, all our staff and children will ensure they feel welcome and settle in as quickly and happy as possible.
